Louis A. Akra, M.D. Board Certified - Internal Medicine
Dr. Louis Akra created the first stand-alone concierge medical practice for Jacksonville and northeast Florida. He received his medical degree in 1988 from UNPHU Medical School in the Dominican Republic. He has worked and studied abroad and is bilingual in Spanish and English. He received his internal medicine training in Chicago at West Suburban Hospital, academically affiliated to Rush Presbyterian St. Luke’s in Chicago, IL. He has thirty years of expertise in internal medicine and has a high level of comfort in personalized patient care and management of complex medical problems. Dr. Akra served as medical director for U. S. Preventive Medicine, performed executive physicals for CSX employees and was selected to be the doctor on-call for the Screen Actors Guild while filming in Jacksonville. Dr. Akra is a member of the Academy of American Private Physicians.
Elena Akra, Psy.D.
Licensed Clinical Psychologist
Dr. Elena Akra has been practicing clinical psychology for over 26 years and is fluent in English and Spanish. She treated adolescents and adults in outpatient and inpatient settings. She is currently in private practice treating adults with a variety of symptoms and common life problems. A graduate with a doctorate degree in clinical psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology, Chicago, IL, Dr. Akra interned at Jackson Memorial Hospital, University of Miami, Miami, FL. She has published several articles and is the author of a workbook series to develop emotional intelligence in children entitled, “Thoughts, Feelings and Actions.”
Cindy Marling, Office Manager
Cindy has mastered her office mangement skills and has more than 25 years of medical billing experience. All necessary services to ensure you have a seamless experience at Akra Professional Services. Born and raised in Jacksonville, FL, Cindy graduated from Samuel Wolfson High School and attended both Florida State University and the University of South Florida. An avid reader, Cindy enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Her interaction with all of our patients and accomodating their healthcare needs is a very important part in giving our patients the best care available.
Bede Warren, Assistant Office Manager
From the moment you enter the door, Bede's warm greeting and friendly smile makes you feel like you're at home. Superior service is what you receive at Akra Services, and Bede has more than 35 years delivering just that. Born and raised in Jacksonville, FL, Bede has been a part of this professional team since its inception and is focused on doing whatever it takes to help deliver quaility medical care to our patients.

Sidney Wheelock, Medical Assistant
A Certified Medical Assistant with more than ten years’ experience, Sidney attended Fortis College in Miami and possesses a burning desire to continue to grow as a medical practitioner. Her friendly, enthusiastic, and helpful demeanor makes her especially popular with our patients, and she is an important part of our continuing quest for superior personalized medical care.
Originally from Nicaragua, Sidney is fluent in English and Spanish and recently became a U.S. citizen. Her time outside the office is happily consumed by her husband and two daughters.

Lily Montes, Medical Assistant
Lily is a Certified Medical Assistant and Phlebotomy Technician who migrated from Havana, Cuba to Miami in 2004 and moved to Jacksonville in 2008. She is bilingual in English and Spanish and has twelve years' experience in the medical field.
Possessing a passion for giving patients the best care possible, Lily was a perfect match for our team. When out of the office, home improvement projects, cooking, and spending time with her family takes up most of her time.
